Mountain Top Weddings
The Dream-Makers Mountain Top wedding ceremony is exceptionally
unique, with Forested Glens, as well as amazing vistas, all with
their individually different, magnificent lake views. This
exquisite eight and a half acre property is located behind a locked Federal gate, Dream-Maker with Federal
permit, key and permission to caravan vehicles to the top of what
used to be North Tahoe's Fire Ranger Look-out (breathtaking, panoramic views are
an understatement). The
Mountain Top wedding ceremony is available from mid spring to
late fall, weather permitting.
Don't be disappointed by other wedding services when they speak of
a peak tourist season, lakefront ceremony, only to find that your
wedding has become an attraction in the middle of a public park or
roadside look-out with camera-toting tourists and loud, swim suit
wearing, Frisbee-throwing, children standing by as noisy unwelcome
spectators observing what should be your own personal
moment with friends and family. (Note: Dream-Maker prefers
lakeside ceremonies only on off tourist season days/times, for
maximum couples' privacy... otherwise, Dream-Maker is thrilled to
have use of this wonderfully remote and breathtaking
Mountain Top area to create summertime memories for
discerning wedding couples and their guests).
This Fire Lookout Mountain Top area, again, is behind a locked
Federal gate and is about a half mile's drive, on asphalted road,
to the lookout 700 feet above the lake (Dream-Maker with gate key and permit) and it is
definitely not a highway pullout. This one-of-a-kind
location is pure magic with wedding guests constantly telling us,
"This is the most beautiful and heartfelt ceremony I've ever
seen... how did you ever find this wonderful place?!"
See
why so many discerning couples trust the Dream-Maker Lake Tahoe to
make their day extraordinary. Make your wedding a special
experience that friends and family will talk about for years to
come.
Options
like the gazebo, floral sprays, white wooden garden chairs, and
an aisle lined on either side with real pine cones always leaves
an unforgettable impression with all who attend. Guests are constantly
mesmerized by this outdoor location. Weather back-ups are always
suggested as a precaution for any outdoor events. The Dream-Maker®
Chapel is offered as a complimentary weather back-up. Additional
Dream-Maker® wedding/event coordination is available to locate
alternative, weather back-up options.
Overhead
tents, to protect sun-sensitive individuals, are also available
options at this location. Taped music is always included in any Dream-Maker®

Top or any of our spectacular wedding locales. Live music is also

Can you guess the name of the
famous Rock Legend whom the Dream-Maker married at this
breathtaking location? Steve Miller of the Steve Miller Band!!
Steve stood at this look-out, mesmerized by its beauty.
He asked whether this panoramic view area had a name; we told him
what it was... his
response; "Man, you should call this place "Oh, My God, Point",
because that's my reaction, "Oh, My God, this is place is
awesome!"

Small Wedding at Area #1

Wedding Portraits That Last a Lifetime
|
Comprised of acres of forest land
this Mountain Top Area contains several uniquely beautiful wedding site possibilities.
Depending on group size, etc. the below drawing illustrates the
five wedding locations Dream-Maker uses for its events.
Area #1 offers a wide open, panoramic view of the entire Tahoe
Basin with asphalt pathway and flooring, at wedding site. For groups up to thirty people, this area is amazing
and very popular. Not far away is Area #2, with its beautiful, natural
forest/lake view. Instead of an asphalt pathway/ceremony site, like
area #1, this location (area #2) enjoys a natural Tahoe terrain and
can support up to fifty chairs (chairs and/or gazebos, are
additional cost, upgrade item/s). Area #3 is the largest mountain top locale
and can handle up to 75 chairs , (chairs and/or gazebos, are
additional cost, upgrade item/s). Area #3, located in natural
terrain is surrounded by shade producing, towering evergreens. New
Lookout areas; Lookout areas #4 and #5 are wheelchair access with
asphalt flooring and no more than a 5% grade. Each has a
similarly wonderful view of South Tahoe. Area #4 holds up to
30 people and area #5, up to 20 people.
If Area #2 or #3
are chosen for the wedding, if photos are ordered, within your
wedding package, the photographer will make sure to take the newly
weds to Area #1, or #4, or #5 where the view is a bit more expansive, for several dazzling, panoramic portrait shots, as
well.

The
above panoramic view is a composite photo comprised of four
individual photos shot from Area #1 and joined together.
Because this photo is a rap-around composite of four photos, remember, although
your wedding photos, at this location, will be absolutely
breathtaking, your wedding photos will not show this entire view in
any one photo.
Shuttle/ Limousine Service: Mountain Top parking is limited
to a maximum of 9 vehicles for the wedding party and their guests, plus one
Dream-Maker vehicle = 10. So, with the larger weddings, usually group
sizes over forty, Shuttle and/or Limousine Service may be needed.

Photo Packages
include a choice of cameras from 24 photos taken on the Digital
Nikon and sent to you on a mini-CD, or 24 exposures taken on 35mm Nikon film
camera with undeveloped roll given to couple, at completion of
wedding, to develop and print.

1. 24x
Exposures on Professional 35mm Film Camera. For couples trying
to save money, who don't mind doing the footwork and cost for photos
for friends and family copies. The film will be professionally
taken, with great equipment and then given to couple to develop and
print. The savings are that the couple can print as many
copies as they wish for a much lower cost. Unless otherwise
requested, the 35mm film option is the default in the Sapphire or
Crystal Waters packages.
2.
24x Photos taken on Digital Camera and mini-CD of photo/files mailed
to you. Note: Allow ten days to two weeks for delivery.
How Good Is
Digital Quality - or - What Is The Megapixal Rating Of 35mm Film: Recently,
we married a couple and found out that the groom was a
developer/programmer for the digital photography industry, working
for one of the well-known camera brands. We asked him three
times what the Megapixial of 35mm film was. The first two answers
were, "we, in the industry, don't talk about this number." He
really didn't want to tell us the Megapixal equivalent of film.
Finally, the third time the subject came up, he said, "alright, 35mm
film is 18-20 Megapixal." We were obviously surprised. He said
this it is why we don't talk about it. When we finally equal 35mm
film we will brag about it, but until we get there we allow people
to be happy with their 6, 7 or 8 Megapixal digital cameras. He said
that the best part of present day digital cameras is that they are
so very convenient, taking the need to purchase film and having to
go to developers for belated results out of the equation. He
continued, some day we will equal and then surpass film, but we are
not there yet. Dream-Maker has a great digital SLR camera and
offers this as a photo possibility, but until digital equals, or
surpasses film, our first choice is to the film medium, where
enlargements come out the very best they can be. Also, when
you get 35mm film developed you can have a CD of digital files
burned, so you have the best of both film as well as digital photos
to email, etc. And, having your negatives makes the cost of
reprints a fraction of the cost of what a photographer would charge
for additional prints.
*
Special: If you have ordered a Sapphire or a Crystal Waters package
with 24x, 35 film photos, you can upgrade to 36x, 35mm photos for
only $50.00, plus tax, which this upgrade is usually a $175 value.

All Dream-Maker® Mountain Top ceremonies are conducted under special
permit with the United States Department of Agriculture. Weddings
performed on National Forest lands are allowed under permit with Lake
Tahoe Basin Management Unit, USFS. The Dream-Maker® is operated
in accordance with USDA policy which prohibits discrimination on the
basis of race, color, sex, age, handicap, religion, familial partners
or national origin. As well, use of NV. State Park property is only
allowed with special permission. Each vehicle entering the Park is
required to also pay a day use fee and per vehicle parking fee. These
Park fees DO NOT APPLY, however, to The Dream-Maker® events taking
place at the Mountain Top.
Snow
Conditions; if your mountain top wedding is planned for early spring,
there is
a possible that the mountain top access road could still be under a few
inches of snow, making driving the road impossible. The depth
of snow and speed in which it melts varies from year to year. We are
usually performing ceremonies in this area around mid-April, but this depends,
again, on the prior
winter snow depths and speed of melting. If we can not get up the access road the
wedding will be held at the beautiful lakeside location (see
http://www.wedtahoe.com/weddings/outdoor.html ).
This is also a gorgeous location for your event and many have
remarked equally as beautiful with the lake's Caribbean blues.
Due
to the nature of your wedding package, all payments paid the The Dream-Maker®
and Dream-Maker's vendor
network are nonrefundable. However, payments paid directly to The
Dream-Maker® for Dream-Maker products and services
are transferable to a new date up to one year from the original date
booked. Perishable items (i.e. flowers, cakes) are rebooked at an
additional expense to the client. |
